The Coronado Beach neighborhood, south of Flagler Avenue in Florida, has changed greatly in the past few years. Before, it was known for its scenic coastal views and peaceful older beach homes. Not to mention its relatively small-town feel. But due to recent tourist developments, The Coronado Beach neighborhood, ideal for its close proximity to the beaches, has been “invaded” by more modern structures. Plenty of developers are offering old-time residents hefty amounts for their properties which they can redevelop into condominiums.

Many residents have expressed their indignation over this. They do not want to relinquish their homesteads and they stand firmly against the more commercial redevelopment of their peaceful community.

beachfrontMany people who opt to keep their beach properties to themselves often fail to realize the amount of needed care a beach-side home requires. Paint oxidizes exposing protected surfaces to the wear and tear of the harsh environment that is the beach. Salty air eats away metal due to the galvanic effect salt has on metals, which simply means certain metals oxidizes faster that if they were away from the sea. Regular visits is (more…)

The beach is considered by many as an escape place especially during the summer season. Some people even consider living near the beach because of the amazing view. So many people consider buying beachfront properties despite the high numbers involved in haivng or owning such property. So if you are a beach bum or a beach lover by nature, it’s really ideal for you to live near the beach so that anytime you are missing the beach, especially when you feel so hot and just want to cool- off a little bit, it’s already there in front of your patio. Living near the beach also takes away the time that you should have consumed in travelling.

S-1904 Bill

The bill, S-1904, would revolutionize Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) shoreline protection regulations concerning the issuance of government easements for private estates in beach replacement projects. Under the existing system, the DEP can give out an easement into perpetuity to make use of privately-owned beachfront property and sand dunes for national and State stand-in projects, under the underlying principle that the division needs admission to private property to guarantee public safety. On the other hand, Senator Adler noted that nearly all property title-holders would be enthusiastic to work with State regulators to shield public protection without easements, which force down property assessment and institute a level of vagueness for prospect public use.

pollute

Pollution is one of the major causes of beach front closures in the United States. It can bring about different harmful microorganisms in the shoreline and can infect children, old people and those with weak immune systems. Mostly, the source of these pollutants are humans themselves, whether in a micro basis like throwing trash on the sea waters, or in a macro basis, like sewage wastes from the factories of some companies.

It is important to remember that the world is round. Whatever you do, however small it may seem, will have an effect to the whole ecosystem. It is about time that we think and act right.
